Windham, NY – A 53-year-old Staten Island man died following a skiing accident at Windham Mountain in New York’s Catskills on Monday.

NYPD criminologist Matthew Falco lost control and struck an embankment alongside the ski resort’s intermediate Upper Warpath run just above the intersection with the Wall Street trail on Saturday morning, according to New York State Police. According to his wife, Falco was an experienced skier.

In January 2011, an 18-year-old woman struck a tree and died at Windham Mountain, also on the Upper Warpath trail.
