Wildwood, MO – Parent company Peak Resorts is planning to sink $2 million into Hidden Valley ski area in Missouri this summer with the largest terrain expansion in the resort’s 30-year history.
Workers this summer will expand the hill’s skiable terrain by 30 percent, including a new 2,000 foot-long run which will be the resort’s longest. All of the new runs will be covered by snowmaking equipment. A new quad chairlift will enhance uphill transport by supplementing the resort’s existing three chairlifts and two surface tows.
Off the hill, $500,000 is being invested to expand Hidden Valley’s dining area for the first time in years, and a new menu will be implemented. All together, the changes are designed to enhance the guest experience for an increasing influx of visitors from the St. Louis area and beyond, including Memphis, Tenn. and Mississippi.
All work is expected to be completed in time for the 2012-13 ski and snowboard season.
