Sun Valley Schedules End of Season Celebrations and Festivities

Sun Valley, ID – Whether you’re a Dollar or Baldy skier or rider, or even a non-skier, Sun Valley Resort is inviting you to celebrate the winter season with a Spring Sun Fest at the base of both Idaho ski mountains.

The fun begins Saturday and Sunday, April 7-8 on Dollar Mountain then moves to Baldy on Sunday, April 15.

Dollar Dayz will include a Family Cross Race on Saturday, April 7 at 10 a.m. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the family friendly event sponsored by the Sun Valley SnowSports School.

A Junk Yard Rail Jam is also set for Dollar Mountain. Both events are free to everyone.

On Sunday, April 8, the Sun Valley Ski Patrol will hold the Third Annual Pond Skim. Costumes are encouraged. There’s no fee, and participants are limited to one run per entry. Music will be included and a bar-b-que will be available both days.

As the last day of skiing comes to a close on April 8 on Dollar Mountain, Baldy Mountain gears up for the Baldy Spring Sun Fest on Sunday, April 15. More fun for the entire family is planned to celebrate Sun Valley’s 76th ski season – kissing snowmakers is encouraged! Ski Baldy on both sides top to bottom and enjoy races, special deals, music and bar-b-que. Entertainment will be provided at both River Run and Warm Springs.

River Run festivities begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 15 and include BOGO (buy one lift ticket and get one free), the Balderdash fun races, kids’ adventures in the Adventure Trail Park, a costume contest, music by Old Death Whisper and DJ McClain and a huge bar-b-que. Pete Lane’s and the Brass Ranch also will offer “Last Run” pricing on some of their retail merchandise.
