Tahoe City, CA – For the final weeks of the ski and snowboard season, Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley resorts at Lake Tahoe in California are offering $50 lift tickets to season pass holders from any other ski resort, and everyone gets 40 percent off private lessons.
Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are scheduled to remain open daily through April 29, with Alpine Meadows continuing to remain open Fridays – Sundays through May 13.
To redeem the $50 lift tickets, pass holders from other ski resorts must show their season passes to the new Ticket and Pass Center at Squaw Valley or the Special Tickets Office at Alpine Meadows. Skiers and riders taking advantage of this offer will also be able to turn in their lift ticket at the end of the day and receive up to $30 off a 2012-13 Tahoe Super Pass. Tahoe Super Passes are on sale now starting at $429 for adults and include free skiing and riding for the remainder of this winter season.
Both resorts are also offering an unprecedented 40 percent off of all private ski and snowboard lessons for both adults and kids. Spring conditions are prime and this is the perfect opportunity to book a lesson for a private mountain tour, experience corn snow and master the art of spring skiing and riding. The 40 percent discount is valid through the end of the winter season, and guests can bring up to five friends or family members to join in on the private lesson.
“Come celebrate spring conditions with us,” said Dee Byrne, the resorts’ director of snow sports. “If you’ve always wanted a private all-mountain guide, now is the time to take advantage of a lesson with our experienced instructors who will show you where to find the best corn snow and how to time it just right to catch optimal conditions throughout the day.”
Squaw Valley will be hosting pool parties every weekend this spring at the resort’s mountaintop pool and hot tub. Free for all season pass holders and $14 for daily lift ticket holders, the High Camp Pool and Hot Tub is nestled between Squaw’s high peaks at elevation 8,200 feet with stunning views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains.
Over at Alpine Meadows, a springtime favorite is the Spring Music Series featuring live music every weekend throughout the spring ski season. Well-known bands and DJs play at the Alpine Meadows Sun Deck or on the Alpine Bandwagon — the one and only customized snow grooming machine which features a stage, outdoor concert sound system. In the coming weeks, look forward to entertainment from bands and DJs including DJ One Truest and DJ Zeb Early (May 12).
