Lake Wanaka, New Zealand –After delaying its scheduled opening on June 15, Snow Park NZ will open for its 10th anniversary ski and snowboard season this Monday, June 25.
Snow Park NZ General Manager Robin Sadowski-Synnott said this year is about celebrating Snow Park’s re-emergence as the premier freestyle ski and snowboard resort in the world.
“We’re looking forward to an awesome 10-year anniversary season,” she said. “We had hoped to open this past week, but our focus has always been on ensuring we provide the best overall experience for our riders, and the international and local community from the day we open. So with new snowfall today (Wednesday) on top of night and day snowmaking commencing (Thursday), we’re expecting another awesome opening on Monday morning.”
