Portillo, Chile – While training in Portillo, U.S. ski racing great Bode Miller has announced that he will marry professional beach volleyball player and model Morgan Beck.
Miller, 34, tweeted the announcement on Monday night along with a photo of the engagement ring.
“I have found the one!!!” Miller confirmed, “and convinced her to marry me.
“It was a process,” Miller went on to admit. “(Beck) is hard to convince. I’m super excited!”
Details regarding plans for the upcoming nuptials were not immediately available.
Miller is from the White Mountains town of Franconia, N.H., while Breck, 25, hails from Coto De Caza, Calif. Miller has 33 World Cup wins, two overall World Cup titles and five Olympic medals to his credit, including a gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Games. The 6’3″ blonde Beck — an inch taller than Miller — played volleyball for the University of California-Berkeley Golden Bears, where she was named to the PAC-10 All-Freshman team and was twice an Honorable Mention All-PAC-10 selection.
