U.S. Ski Racer Bode Miller is apparently biding his time while recovering from knee surgery by spending it on the golf course. However, his new wife of less than three months, 25-year-old pro volleyball player and model Morgan Beck, would be best advised to stay away from him on the links.

An errant shot from Miller struck his wife in the face on Wednesday, leaving Beck with a badly bruised face and 50 stitches.

“Feeling better today. Still can’t see out of left eye but I am getting some feeling back in my face,” Beck tweeted earlier today, referring to the culprit as  “my darling husband.” She added that she still loves him, presumably despite his lousy golfing skills.

It was unclear where the couple had been playing golf. Just a day earlier, Miller tweeted that he played his first round of golf left-handed to adjust for the knee injury.

Well, that might explain it!

Miller is hopeful that he will be able to return to the World Cup ski racing circuit sometime in January.
