Pagosa Springs, CO – Wolf Creek Ski Area, in Southern Colorado, is opening this Saturday and Sunday on nothing but natural snow.
The ski area’s Nova and Bonanza chairlifts will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. After receiving another four inches of new snow this week, Wolf Creek’s current all-natural base depth is 22 inches with a year-to-date snowfall of 28 inches. Several runs will be groomed for beginner and intermediate skiers and boarders and hike-to terrain will be open to Alberta Peak and Step Bowl with very early season conditions.
Ski School will be available for lessons including the Wolf Pup Program. The Ski Rental and BoarderDome will be open as well as Treasure Sports. Burgers and a limited menu will be served in the Wolf Creek Lodge (upper lodge) as well as drinks from the Pathfinder Bar.
Lift tickets this weekend will be priced at the Local Appreciation rate of $38 for adults and $22 for seniors and children.
