Skied the Highlands and Nub's Sunday. It was great to get out. As usual, Nub's had the better snow!!!

The End is Near - So get a good deal

Was able to squeeze one last weekend in over Easter weekend. Hit both Boynes. Got some GREAT spring skiing in. Fun, sun and soft snow. Looking forward to getting on the MTB trails soon.

Searchmont Resort moves to 5-day operation

Hit Searchmont last weekend (3/25), was COLD for late March, but a good time. Crossing the boarder was easy with passports. Nice to get some longer (for the Midwest) runs in! They had PLENTY of snow, I think this is their last weekend though.

    Midwinter Skiing

Had a great day @ Boyne Mountain in the AM and Boyne Highlands in the PM on 2/15. Snow was pretty good considering the recent melt. It was a bit better at the mountain. Quite a bit of New England type scrach. Headed to Nubs in a few minutes. Love the longer February days! Get on the snow...

    BitterSweet 2.6.09

Agreed. Not a bad little place, they do make the most of their vert. I think it would be cool if they would open up the back side...

    Nubs Nob 2-1-09

Hope you do not get the rain. That would be very unusual. Even when it does rain in early or late winter it seems that when you turn off M119 onto Pleasantview it turns to snow! Have a great trip!!

    Nubs Nob 2-1-09

Skied Nub's on Friday 1/30. Conditions were AMAZING. Looked just like Sunday, except there was much LESS wind! Tons of great snow!!

    Has anyone skied at?

I have skiied all 3. Bittersweet BY FAR is the best. I think 350 is a reach, but they have an HSQ and a good trails. I had a season pass there for a couple of years. Timber Ridge is OK, pretty flat, trails a bit longer. Swiss is basically a hole in the ground. A great place to learn, but...

Crystal Mnt, Boyne Highlands, or Boyne Mt for 1st timers

I concur that the Highlands is the best. It is certainly the most family oriented and kid friendly. Maybe Nub's would be by 2nd suggections, I think it is the best place in Michigan overall. Another cool thing about the Highlands is that the run dog sled rides that are too much fun - the kids...
