Which North American Skiers Should Ski in Europe?

I understand what sbook is saying. I find the food in Europe very good, but it can lack diversity. Ie: in Italy , for the most part will only find Italian / regional food. France is the same , here in Amsterdam there is diversity.

    Powder vs Spring skiing

I know this isn’t the thread for this. Also I know I will get a lot of flak and heat too. In MY opinion a perfect spring day beats a powder day. You don’t have to deal with massive crowds, being first on line etc. there is no such thing as a corn frenzy. Just a bunch of sun tanned chill people😎

I get the feeling that if certain people of this forum aren't skiing powder or balls in your throat terrain, they are not not maximizing their time or fun.. A couple of runs on extremely challenging runs is fun and important. Challenging yourself does help one grow.. IMO nothing beats terrain...

Even Steamboat is Unaffordable: A ‘cowboy ski town’ where high earners can’t afford a home

Not necessarily so. I think LA or SFO even Seattle might have an equal or higher cost of living.

NYS sells for $59 and frequent skier card. The card gives you 25% off on weekends and holidays and 50% off weekdays.. Walk up at Whiteface , the 1980 host of the Olympics , is 124 ..so 25 or 50% off that...I skied last weekend at Belleayre a 1200vrt mountain for 78$.. Whiteface is 124 Gore...

Even Steamboat is Unaffordable: A ‘cowboy ski town’ where high earners can’t afford a home

Here's my gripe, I used to able to go to SLC or Colorado. Stay at central location to the ski areas and ski at various resorts..Those days are over. Epic bought Hunter Mtn just to milk it for cash. They just do the bare minimum when it comes to snowmaking. They haven't made any capital...
