Mt. High or Baldy for tomorrow?

im thinking about heading up locally for what might be the last time (pray for snow) tomorrow as a warm up before my trip to vail set for the 3oth of March to the 3rd of April. I've been to baldy 3 times this year, and might go to mt high out of variety/convenience. The mt high website says...

    Mt. Baldy, CA 1/26/08

when i left baldy at 2:45 on Saturdy the traffic coming up baldy road was already backed up all the way to nearly the freeway exits: all of this caused by people trying to park for snowplay. (and the accident that occured in the tunnel in the morning probably didnt help)

    Mt. Baldy, CA 1/26/08

Thanks to reading your TR's and website over the past couple years, I was able to avoid all of these factors on my first powder day at baldy. Just wanted to thank you for your advice, as i owed my great day to it.

    Mt. Baldy (SoCal) 1-20-08

With Monday off from school, and an urge to ride some local snow, me and some friends headed up to Baldy. Even though there hasn't been any new snow since the 3 foot dump over 2 weeks ago, i just wasn't in the mood to deal with MLK weekend crowds at mt.high or big bear, and i figured the...

    Strong Brutal Violence (?)

i believe admin said that the company supplying the advertising banners filters the adds to a certain extent, but a few of the dirty ones slip in sometimes. Not much you can do about it.

    A-Basin, 4/7/07

I'm a big A-Basin fan myslef, I love the "oldschool" feel, and its such a beatiful, fun and diverse mountain: not to mention it's STEEP. The Palivaccini chair has some awsome terrain, and its epic on a powder day. I remember reading that A-Basin had a terrain expansion proposal drawn up, was...

    Beaver Creek, CO 4/1/2007

I have been snowboarding at beaver creek since i was around 9 years old (Now 17), and even though i live in Los Angeles, i would consider the place my home mountain. I have probably rode around 110 days at the beav over the past nine years, and have come to really love the mountain. Even with...

    Vail, CO 4/2/07

I have always noticed this on my trips to vail, In decemeber an instructor told me that a large percentage of the latin american families are from the extremly affluent population in Mexico City. He said that most of them exclusively ski at vail.

    Mt. High Closed Today

I'm believing more and more everyday. I think that western skiers (myself included) views of the east have become far too generalized due to the fact that most of us know very little about the east, and hence base our opinions solely off the generic "horror stories" we hear about the east...

    Mt. High Closed Today

After seeing the trip reports coming from the east recently, i dont think any of us can. Yes these conditions are somewhat rare, but so are the good years we have down here in SoCal. I personally enjoy following the eastern TR's because their winters are fairly good analogies to what we...

    Heading to SLC this weekend

I almost forgot to mention that i got invited to go on a trip to SLC with my friend's family. We are staying somewhere in The Canyons, and plan on making day trips to the bird, and either pow mow or snowbasin. I've never been to the canyons before, and would really appreciate some advice in...
