Even Steamboat is Unaffordable: A ‘cowboy ski town’ where high earners can’t afford a home

I did Mountain Collective for 2 years - when Telluride, Squaw? And Valley Nevado were on it.

I remember paying $179 for a student season pass at Northstar in 2004.

Two ski real estate scenarios I'm very familiar with:
Cottonwood Heights, UT: 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, single family home, purchased 2017 for $300K, now valued at about $750K
Incline Village, NV: 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, townhouse, purchased 2017 for $400k, now valued at about $1.2 mil.

I did it a couple of years when Whistler was on it. The kid prices were $1 so we paid $800 for our family of four. Never got to Telluride unfortunately.

Sounds surprisingly good value. Is there an opening for washed up real estate people in Salt Lake City? I might make a move from the sub tropics to a climate that is more to my taste.

Can add a 1,700 sq ft 3 bed 3.5 bath condo in Silverthorne, CO (15+ minutes from the closest skiing at Keystone) bought in 2011 for $411K now worth $1.2M (maybe even $100-200K more depending on the week). Very average quality of build too IMO.
