We were sitting at a stop light in Burlington, when what do you know, my go to line for the last year is immortalized on a license plate. Having the camera at the ready, I rolled down the window and snapped a quick shot. If you look closely you can see the guy's grin at the top of the picture. Probably made his day.

As one of Salida's three traveling companions (the others were a Burlington rippin'-chica named KC, and a neon blue car named Gandalf), I can attest to the fact that there is a great great story to accompany these shots, but we're afraid of legal prosecution if we make too many details public. All we can say, however, is that we successfully avoided a tractor piling tons of snow in our path by crawling through the woods with skis, boots, and helmets (well... at least most of us had helmets!) on our back, in order to remain undetected we snaked through a crack in the woods that was once the path of an ancient chairlift, and then when we finally skied, we had to dodge the wrath of a snowmaker who shot his snow guns right at us (on purpose[!!]), and then finally (in the parking lot) turned the stone cold heart of a grizzled ski patroller warm and fuzzy with our sheer determination to ski and ear to ear grins
