People on the lift were telling me that Belleayre got 6-8" out of Wednesday's surprise storm and another 2-ish fell overnight, so things weren't bad at all today, at least through the early afternoon.

I spent the first two hours doing laps in the woods from one end to the other. Funny, there are no signs telling people not to ski the trees, but no one other than me seems to care. They looked and skied like this:

This sign is at one of the B&Bs on the access road... we're all hoping that Highmount will be incorporated into Belleayre sooner rather than later.

They're calling for 5-6" tonight and tomorrow. Too bad I'll be stuck at home.

Trees look nicely ignored.

James ...your love for Highmount is unabashed.

Quit the job, and become CEO of Highmount Inc.

Then you can take runs on your coffee break.

After seeing Sharon's pix, I'm no longer happy with my bootcuff-deep tree lines.

Oh well, at least I didn't drive six hours each way. :)

With snow like that it could be an eight hour trip.

It is definitely worth the drive. Looks like we may get snowed in here for an extra couple of days. We aren't going anywhere until the storm subsides...and that my not be until Tuesday.
