Departure day from the Iron Blosam. With many flying East and all packing to move out, few ski this day, and this time Richard and I were the only ones. And we got on the hill at 10:30 after loading the car. Not that I was in a hurry in spring mode with Utah sun time 1 1/2 hrs behind clock time.

First tram I ran into some of the Utah retirees with whom I've snowcat skied at Chatter Creek. Dave Hansen usually leads this group. He typically runs tram laps, up to 8 per day, a somewhat higher proportion of groomers than Admin or Ed Meisner at the Iron Blosam would choose, but nonetheless fast paced.

Best skiing was undoubtedly the steeper variations of Upper Silver Fox. One of those runs I wound up below Anderson's on the slightly crunchy Lower Silver Fox. 3 midday runs in Mineral, 2 groomers and one carefully following skier packed lines through the otherwise churned and sun baked powder from early in the week.

A couple of runs we went down the Gad side, and just before lunch I went back up Little Cloud and traversed to Elevator. Last run was through Lower Cirque; the locals went home while I stopped to watch the end of the extreme comp.

I recovered some vs. the past 2 days and skied 22,100. But it was good the next day would be cruisers at Park City. We joined Admin & Co. for apres up at GMD, and later for the excellent dinner at Lugano.

Not sure I've ever seen a Ford GT in the flesh before, even at L.A. Auto Show. Richard is behind this one in the Snowbird parking lot. I know, too flashy for you Altaphiles.
