Kimberley (BC), Canada – Kimberley Alpine Resort will celebrate the arrival of spring and bid farewell to another ski and snowboard season with the B.C. resort’s annual Spring Splash Celebration taking place this year on Apr. 3-4.nFestivities in the ski area’s courtyard will feature BBQ, beer gardens, and live DJs, as well as the musical talents of Shane Philip and Billy Jive & The Funktastic 5. Fun and funny activities include Saturday’s Ultimate Spring Splash in the splash pond as well as Rapid Splash Tube Race and Splash Pond Tug of War. On Sunday, it’s the traditional Dummy Downhill event and the innovative, Dummy Duct Tape Challenge. Face painting for children will be offered both Saturday and Sunday.

Although Kimberley’s ski season wraps up with the last lift ride on Apr. 4, parent Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) is reminding all season pass holders that they are able to ski at other RCR Resorts after Kimberley’s season ends, as part of the RCR Membership Benefits program. Both Fernie Alpine Resort, in British Columbia, and Alberta’s Nakiska Ski Resort are scheduled to close on Sunday, Apr. 11 with bonus weekend openings Apr. 17-18.
