Vernon (BC), Canada – Beginning Friday, British Columbia’s Silver Star ski resort will sell a CAN $61 lift ticket good for all three final days of the ski and snowboard season. That works out to barely more than CAN $20 per day.nIt’s no problem if you can’t make it to the slopes on Friday, for guests can purchase a CAN $61 lift ticket on Saturday and it’s still valid on Sunday as well.
To close out the season, Silver Star will host the B.C. Freestyle Championships, as the province’s best compete in moguls, big air, and slopestyle competitions all weekend long. Saturday is Retro Day, when it’s time to break out the old neon one-piece, slather on some zinc and hit the slopes for a day filled with back-scratchers and daffies. A group photo will be taken at 1:30 p.m. at the top of the Comet Express Six-Pack before a hero run under the chair.
On Sunday, Silver Star’s final hours this season will be celebrated with the ski area’s 13th annual Dummy Gelundee. An Easter Egg hunt for the kids kicks off at 10 a.m. in the village, and season pass holders can dine on a free Season Pass Appreciation BBQ in the village at noon.
