Aspen, CO – Ski and snowboard apparel brand Sport Obermeyer Ltd., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, this week announced a voluntary recall of approximately 39,000 of the company’s Posey, Lily, Rose and Daisy Girls’ Ski Jackets as a drawstring at the waist can reportedly pose an entrapment hazard to children.nDespite the recall, no injuries have been reported.
The recalled girls’ jackets have drawstrings at the waist, sold at ski and snowboard retailers from July 2009 through February 2010 in sizes 1 to 8 and were sold with style numbers 91549, 91552, 91555, or 91558 printed on the tag inside the neck of the jackets. The jackets had retail prices ranging from $90 to $140.
The recall advises consumers to immediately remove the drawstrings from the jackets to eliminate the hazard or return it to Sport Obermeyer, Ltd. for a full refund.
