Golden (BC), Canada – Kicking Horse Mountain Resort has announced that the British Columbia ski area will be open an additional weekend, operating this Saturday and Sunday. The Golden Eagle Express and Stairway to Heaven chairlift will be operational throughout the weekend from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.n“We had an incredible amount of snow over the past two weeks and conditions are some of the best we’ve seen all season,” says Steve Paccagnan, President and CEO of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. “The bonus weekend is our way of saying thanks to our season pass holders, locals, homeowners and the community. There is simply no better way to do this than serving up some of our champagne powder on a bonus weekend.”

The resort has received over 80cms (31 in.) of snow thus far in April. Lifts are closed from Monday to Friday this week and will be re-opening for the final weekend.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is approximately 2.5 hours west of Calgary on the Trans Canada Highway.
