Wrightwood, CA – Fresh snow continues to fall in Southern California and Mountain High Resort in Wrightwood now plans to remain open for skiing and snowboarding through May 2nd, making this the longest season in its history. A total of 186 days to be exact — beating out the winter of 2004-05 by five days.nMountain High is now one of only a handful of ski resorts still open in the U.S.

“Yup, it’s been a long winter,” acknowledges John McColly, Mountain High’s Director of Marketing. “Once we hit May, we’ll have operated in eight different months. Not many resorts in the world can say that.”

The majority of Mountain High’s West Resort is still open with good coverage, and there is a chance for even more snow next Tuesday and Wednesday. Up to four lifts are currently in operation, accessing 28 trails with terrain for all levels and abilities. Ticket prices will drop to a reduced $35 rate this Monday for adults (regularly $55), and $25 for children ages 7 to 12. Up to two kids ages 6 and under ski free with a paying adult.

Operating hours beginning Monday will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.
