Jay, VT – With eight to 15 inches of snow in the forecast this week, Vermont’s Jay Peak Resort will reopen its ski area this Thursday to allow guests to take advantage of fresh late April powder.nOriginally scheduled to reopen Saturday for one final weekend, Jay will now reopen Thursday as the storm is expected to arrive today through Wednesday.

“We all make our bones here in winter and as long as the universe keeps sending us storms, we’ll keep finding a way to get you access to it,” explains Jay Peak spokesperson Emilie Starr.

Jay is offering a lodging rate of $69 per person per night, based on double occupancy, for either their Slopeside Condominiums or new Tram Haus Lodge for any time this Thursday through Sunday. Lift tickets are reduced to $39 for adults and $29 for juniors, and Jay Peak will throw in lunch at the new Tower Bar to say thanks for coming.

Jay will close for the season after this Sunday, May 2. The resort’s golf course is scheduled to open May 15th, followed by the new Jay Peak Ice Haus Arena Memorial Day Weekend and the new Golf Clubhouse shortly thereafter.
