Keystone, CO – Memorial Day weekend traditionally marks the beginning of summer across the U.S., but it’s been a cool and snowy spring across the Rockies, and Keystone is taking advantage of the weather to mix the seasons this weekend with Summer Remix, a new event with activities ranging from Hawaiian-themed snow tubing and a ski and snowboard rail jam, to mountain biking and other summer activities in River Run Village.nAt 11,640 feet, Keystone’s Adventure Point is the only summer snow tubing hill in Colorado. It’s open weekends beginning this Saturday (and Memorial Day on Monday as well), June 5-6 and June 12-13, with a full weekday schedule starting off June 18th. Snow tubing at Keystone in summer costs $29 per hour.
There’s still enough snow atop Dercum Mountain for a rail jam this weekend as well. Terrain Park access will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily from Saturday through Monday. Lift access to Upper Flying Dutchman, atop Keystone with several rails and features in terrain park-style, will cost $18, with a $6 discount for passholders.
Those who prefer their holiday thrills on two wheels will find the Keystone Bike Park open from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. daily, Saturday through Monday. Park access costs $25 per adult and $15 per child. Scenic gondola rides will follow the same schedule at $12 per adult and $8 per child.
Ready to hit the links this weekend? Keystone’s River Run course is already open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. And families will find a bungee trampoline, snow cones, face painting, events and more in River Run Village. For a dining experience at 11,640 feet, the Summit House will be open with a full menu.
