Arapahoe Basin, CO – Skiers and riders looking to combine snow and suds will gather Sunday at Arapahoe Basin, as the Colorado ski and snowboard resort will host its ninth annual Festival of the Brewpubs.nFour local Summit County breweries — Backcountry, Breckenridge, Dillon Dam and Pug Ryan’s — will be offering samples of their favorite hand-crafted ales. A-Basin will be selling 14 oz. plastic souvenir mugs for unlimited tasting from noon to 4:00 p.m. for $20.
A DJ from Krystal 93 radio will be spinning tunes in the base area from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by live music with That Eighties Band on the ticket office steps. The outside barbeque will be fired up featuring smoked pulled pork sliders.
A-Basin is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. this weekend with top to bottom skiing and snowboarding on a 36-inch midway base. Available services this weekend include ski and board rentals and tuning, Legends Café and 6th Alley Bar, and Black Mountain Lodge at mid-way for lunch. For rails, jumps, bumps and thrills the Treeline Terrain Park is still open. Arapahoe Basin’s closing date is tentatively scheduled for June 6.
