Free Ski Lift Rides and Live Music at Schweitzer Next Saturday

Sandpoint, ID – Next Saturday, June 26, Schweitzer Mountain Resort will hold its annual Summer Celebration from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring live music by David Boone and The Rub at the Idaho ski and snowboard resort. Scenic chairlift rides will be free of charge for all ages. The lift ascends 1,700 vertical feet where visits can choose to hike, bike or ride the lift back down.n“This is the best way to experience what summer is all about at Schweitzer,” said Events Manager Brandon Peterson. “You can ride the lift, hike, bike and listen to great music, all for free. It’s like a Schweitzer test drive.”

Schweitzer is bringing back the Power Tower climbing wall and bungee trampoline this summer, located outside the Source, where guests can visit the Activity Center and rent mountain bikes. The celebration will also feature a variety of arts and crafts booths, barbecue and children’s games. The barbecue will be fired up from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schweitzer’s Gourmandie Market and retail stores will also be open for snacks and shopping.

At the top of the mountain guests can stop into the Summit Activity Center to learn about hiking and biking trails, gear up for disc golf or simply enjoy a cool beverage.

Schweitzer will be operating seven days a week this summer, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Labor Day. Bike rentals are available daily in the village. For more information, call the Schweitzer Activity Center at (208) 255-3081.
