Snowbird Hosts Survivors at the Summit Benefit Aug. 14

Snowbird, UT – With a rising skin cancer rate that is among the highest in the nation, Utah’s fight against cancer is more important than ever. On Saturday, Aug. 14, Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort will host the 14th annual Survivors at the Summit event to benefit the Cancer Wellness House. The fundraising and awareness celebration is a day dedicated to recognizing the courage and determination of those affected by cancer.nThe Survivors at the Summit celebration begins with a pancake breakfast on the Snowbird Center Plaza Deck Saturday morning, followed by a Journeys hike or Tram ride to Hidden Peak. The 3.5-mile Journeys hike represents the challenges and personal summits faced in the fight against cancer. Upon reaching 11,000 feet, hikers will be met by a sea of yellow flags bearing names high atop Hidden Peak during the Celebration of Life ceremony, as well as the sounds of One Voice Children’s Choir.

The pancake breakfast costs $4 per person and there will be giveaway with tickets for sale for $3 per ticket or five for $10. All proceeds go to the Cancer Wellness House. To access the pancake breakfast and Hidden Peak hike take Little Cottonwood Road to Snowbird Entry 2.
