Queenstown, New Zealand – Organizers expect that New Zealand entertainers the Topp Twins will draw record numbers to Queenstown Sept. 4-12 for the 8th annual Gay Ski Week NZ, which is billed as the southern hemisphere’s biggest gay alpine party. Ticket sales have already hit record levels.n“This is our year, we are fielding inquiries from around the world and the local and international media are just pouncing on the event,” says event organizer Mike Sanford.

This year’s festival is also expanding to include Wanaka, with the Oakridge Resort hosting an outdoor hot pool party, being sponsored by one of world’s largest circulation gay magazines, DNA.

Skiing remains the main attraction of Gay Ski Week NZ, but there is plenty of nighttime action to keep the guests happy. Highlight events on the schedule this year include the The Topp Twins Show, Cowboy Dinner, Retro Bowling, Snow Gaymes, Big Gay Out, Karaoke Night, Play Day, Buff Party with Auckland DJ Marty and the closing WHITE OUT Party with Sydney Drag Artist and DJ Kitty Glitter.
