Ski or Ride with a New Zealand Star

Lake Wanaka, New Zealand – Ever wish you could ski, snowboard or just hang out with one of New Zealand’s top snow sports athletes? Here’s your chance.nThree of New Zealand’s top skiers and snowboarders have offered up an opportunity for one lucky bidder and a friend to spend a half-day skiing or riding together at their favorite New Zealand ski area this spring.

Proceeds from the auction go to Snow Sports New Zealand (SSNZ), the country’s national governing organization for snow sports, to support sport development programs for stars in the making.

“It’s a great opportunity to spend a half day with one of New Zealand’s top skiers or snowboarders while also supporting development of younger snow sports competitors,” said SSNZ CEO Ross Palmer.

World Champion freeskier Jossi Wells, world No. 8-ranked snowboarder Shelly Gotlieb and Olympian Freeskier Mitchey Greig have each stepped forward to participate in the Ski and Ride with the Stars program. The auctions are now live on Trade Me at the links listed below. Auctions close at 11:20 a.m. New Zealand time on Aug. 27.
