Two New Groomers, New Terrain Park for Schweitzer’s Upcoming Ski Season

Sandpoint, ID – Two new grooming machines and a new addition to the terrain park lineup highlight the ski and snowboard season ahead at Idaho’s Schweitzer Mountain Resort.nSchweitzer officials have upgraded the resort’s groomer fleet with two new Prinoth BR-350 snowcats. These highly efficient groomers will help bring miles of fresh corduroy to the resort each day.

The Starfish Terrain Park will become an official addition to Schweitzer’s freestyle parks this winter. This is Schweitzer’s third park and will feature beginner andintermediate jumps and jibs.

“The Starfish Terrain Park was really popular last year, and we’re excited to expand on it more this season,” said Terrain Park Manager Dan Nylund. “The length of the Starfish Park and the pitch makes it easy to hike; and the lower speed features make it unintimidating and fun to use.”

Schweitzer has also unveiled several new packages and programs this season. The Ski3 package allows guests to purchase three single-day tickets in advance at a discounted price of $156 plus tax, a 20 percent savings over the ticket window. Purchasers can use the fully transferable tickets for themselves, or share them with family and friends. The Ski3 pack can be split into separate tickets for gifting. This offer is only available through Oct. 31, 2010.
