Albany, NY – One of the nation’s longest-running consumer snow and travel shows will return for a 49th consecutive year to launch the ski and snowboard season beginning Friday, Nov. 5 through Sunday, Nov. 7 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany.nThe Ski & Snowboard expo, presented by Alpin Haus, will provide winter sports fans with an early look at the 2010-11 season, including the newest in winter sporting equipment, fashion and travel. Many of the industry’s top mountains and resorts from throughout the Northeast, West and Canada will be represented. The three-day event will feature free prizes and merchandise, and interactive, family-friendly activities. The expo will also include its traditional array of auctions, used equipment sales, workshops and seminars.
Admission at the door is $8 for adults and $4 for youth ages 7-12. Children age six and under are free with a paid adult.
Hours are from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5; Saturday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
