Bromont (QC), Canada – Ski Bromont, east of Montreal, has grown exponentially in recent years to become one of Quebec’s largest and most visited ski resorts. It’s now set to grow again with the purchase of not one, but two fixed-grip Poma quad chairlifts.n
Quebec’s Ski Bromont will install a new quad chairlift on the resort’s Versant des Épinettes next summer. |
The two lifts come from previous service at Montjoye Ski Centre near Sherbrooke and the now defunct Gray Rocks in the Laurentians. The two lifts will be completely restored before installation at Bromont.
The resort’s game plan is to install one of the two lifts on Versant des Épinettes as soon as summer 2011. This hillside is the only one out of the seven at Bromont to not yet have its own chairlift, although it had been in the plans for a few years. This chairlift should finally be up and running for ski season 2011-2012, thus making access to the sector’s numerous glades a lot easier.
Plans for the second lift have yet to be finalized. Ski resort officials assure that careful consideration will be given to determine the best location for the lift according to customer needs and expectations.
