Tignes, France – It’s time to wax your skis or snowboard, for the Tignes glacier opens this weekend to launch the French resort’s 2010-11 season.nFrom this Saturday, Sept. 25 through a scheduled closing date of May 8, 2011, slopes will be open on the Grande Motte glacier at Tignes, ranging in altitude from 3456m to 3000m for 1,496 feet of vertical drop.
The Espace Killy link to the rest of the region’s 300km of marked skiing and riding is scheduled to open Nov. 27.
