New Terrain Park Manager at Squaw Valley

Olympic Valley, CA – Squaw Valley USA has announced the appointment of JP Martin as the California ski and snowboard resort’s new Terrain Park Manager. Martin comes to Squaw Valley with 19 years of experience in the ski and snowboarding industry and a resume that includes experience at Whistler, Mt. Hood, Jackson Hole and many resorts in Japan. Most recently, Martin worked as the Terrain Park Manager at Sugar Bowl Resort on nearby Donner Summit.nMartin has built terrain park features for some of the best pro skiers and riders in the industry; however, he remains dedicated to providing younger generations with a consistent venue where they can progress in the sport.

“I grew up right when all of the skate parks were being closed and bulldozed. I wanted to do my part to make sure the parks on the mountains didn’t end up the same way,” said Martin. “Some of the original terrain parks were huge, and there was no way to work your way up — great for the established pros, but not if you were just getting started.”
