Avon, CO – Organizers have announced the 36th Annual Mountain Travel Symposium (MTS-36), scheduled for Apr. 3-9, 2011 at Beaver Creek Resort in Avon, Colo., with events divided between the Beaver Creek Convention Center and Vilar Center.nMTS is the largest and longest-running annual gathering of mountain travel professionals in North America that includes three days of Tour Operator and Ski Group Trade Shows and a two-day educational Forum. It includes the Trade and Group Exchanges with scheduled, one-to-one appointments between mountain travel suppliers such as airlines, lodging properties, resorts, and rental companies with mountain travel buyers such as tour operators, groups, and club leaders to transact business for the following season.
Held mid-week, the theme of this year’s Forum is, “Adaptation to Change in Mountain Travel — Lessons Learned from Darwin’s Theory of Evolution.” It includes three general sessions and more than a dozen small group workshops that address the four strategic pillars of success in the current travel industry: Market, Monetization, Media, and Measurement.
