Wilmington, MA – SWIX Sport, best known for its ski wax and Nordic ski gear, has announced the launch of the company’s new collection of Alpine gloves and mitts for the 2011-12 season.n“Given our growing presence in the Alpine segment of our business, this is one of the most exciting launches in our company’s history” says SWIX President and CEO Steve Poulin. “We’ve assembled a powerful team of textile and handwear specialists that have worked together to provide a collection that mirrors the core values of the SWIX brand while also addressing every segment of the market with product that is second to none.”

The SWIX collection of Alpine gloves and mitts will feature a comprehensive selection of styles for both adults and children with more than 50% of the overall assortment to contain Gore-Tex waterproof and breathable membranes.

“The synergy between SWIX handwear innovations and Gore-Tex tells a most compelling story,” says Poulin. “In addition, I am confident that our fresh and clean design elements will position SWIX Alpine gloves and mitts to be perceived as the ‘future’ of alpine handwear.”

The SWIX brand of Alpine gloves and mitts will be shown at buying group shows as well as Outdoor Retailer and SIA in January 2011 and ISPO/Munich in February 2011 to get them onto retailer shelves next fall.
