Sundance, UT – Utah’s Sundance Resort will open for skiing and riding this Saturday, a week ahead of schedule.nBountiful November storms have prompted the early opening, which will occur on the front mountain up to the Ray’s Lift Midway stop. Sundance officials say that they’re ready to open more terrain as soon as conditions permit.
Saturday is also the opening day for Deer Valley Resort in Park City. The two will join other Utah resorts already open for skiing and snowboarding this season: Alta, Brian Head, Brighton, Park City Mountain, Powder Mountain, Snowbasin, Snowbird, Solitude and Wolf Mountain. Canyons Resort will follow on Dec. 10, and the new Eagle Point near Beaver, Utah, on Dec. 14. The state’s remaining ski area, Beaver Mountain in Logan Canyon, relies entirely upon natural snow. Their opening date is still to be announced.
