Sutton (QC), Canada – Mont Sutton will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Friday, Dec. 17, and the festivities at the ski and snowboard resort in Quebec’s Eastern Townships will continue all weekend long, including a free outdoor concert with Les Trois Accords and fireworks on Saturday evening.nTo celebrate the 50th anniversary day on Friday, Dec. 17, lift tickets will be reduced to their 1960 rate of C$5. Birthday cake will be served in the resort’s Main Chalet, while prizes will be handed out during après-ski at the Bar Le Tucker before a tapas dinner is served during a free live show with Angel Forrest.
Saturday’s festivities will feature friendly ski and snowboard races with medals for the winners and prizes for participants. Special activities will be offered to the kids, and a DJ on Bar Le Tucker’s patio will provide the entertainment. A special 50th anniversary cocktail will be toasted with Mont Sutton’s founders, and a torchlight parade will descend the ski area’s slopes in the evening, when a commemorative dinner will be served. The free outdoor Les Trois Accords concert will be followed by fireworks and a party with DJ at the Bar Le Tucker.
