Windham, NY – Windham Mountain ski resort in the northern Catskill Mountains of New York has appointed Ryan Bird to the position of Director of Culinary and Lodging Services and Greg Thorpe as Chief of Security.nBird will oversee Windham Mountain’s four full-service restaurants: Legends Lounge, Rock’n Mexicana, The Club at Windham Mountain, and the new Seasons restaurant at the Windham Country Club. He will also supervise the Mountain Express Cafeteria, the Waffle Hut, Sushi Bar, Patio BBQ, Wheelhouse Lodge, Winwood Inn and the resorts numerous banquets, conferences and weddings. He previously worked at Sesame Place, a division of Seaworld Parks and Entertainment in Pennsylvania.

Kevin Kennedy, Windham Mountain’s Director of Human Resources, said, “Ryan has a strong organizational management background and is ready to transform and streamline the resorts Food and Beverage components.”

Greg Thorpe will be Chief of Security for Windham Mountain. Thorpe worked for the Windham Police Department for more than 30 years. He is also active in the local fire department and Ashland Rescue Squad.

“Greg has great law enforcement experience and is a highly respected member of our community,” Kennedy said.
