January Kicks Off With College Week at Sunday River

Newry, ME – This Monday through Friday, Maine’s Sunday River ski resort opens it doors to college students for a week of deals and nonstop partying including headliners Jah Cutta and Rahzel. It would be wise for any student to put off their New Year resolutions until Jan. 8.nStarting Monday, Sunday River’s hottest Foggy Goggle hosts a different party every night of the week starting with an ’80s Dance Party featuring DJ Revolution and John Lee. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the cover charge is $10 for guests ages 18 years or older.

On Tuesday, show your love for Caribbean-inspired culture with Jah Cutta and Royal Hammer during Reggae Night, and on Wednesday, get ready for Hip Hop Night featuring DJ-JS1 and Rahzel. Doors open both nights at 8 p.m., cover charge is $15 on Tuesday and $20 on Wednesday for guests ages 18 years and older.

By Thursday, the Punanny Sound System will be dropping beats during a Rave Blacklight Party. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the cover charge is $10 for guests ages 18 years or older.

All shows during College Week take place at the Foggy Goggle in Sunday River’s South Ridge Base Lodge. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased in advance by calling (800) 543-2754.

And for all those math majors, concerts are just a fraction of what’s happening during College Week. On Wednesday, Red Bull Mountain Ops is coming to the slopes with a unique on-mountain scavenger hunt.
Plus, lift tickets for College Week are $39 with a valid College ID, or stay and party for the whole week with Ski and Stay packages starting at $299 which include lift tickets, lodging and an adult Perfect Turn clinic each day.
