Schonach, Germany – Rain and wind in the German Black Forest resulted in cancellation of Sunday’s scheduled Nordic Combined World Cup team skiing event. The competition was canceled during the jumping portion of the combined event.n”The wind was just so inconsistent and moving back and forth across the wind corridor,” said U.S. Ski Team Nordic Combined Coach Chris Gilbertson. “That combined with all the rain, which filled the track up too much, just made it too hard to continue fairly.”

The series will now head to Seefeld, Austria next weekend where the Team event will be added to the schedule on Friday.
