Quebec Ski Area is Tranformed Into an Art Gallery

Petite-Rivière-St.-François (QC), Canada – Le Massif de Charlevoix is transforming its Summit Chalet into an immense studio for creativity on Sunday, Feb. 6, as it welcomes eight acclaimed artists to paint live before the public for the 12th edition of the Panoramas & Paintbrushes Event, a mountain art symposium at this Quebec ski and snowboard resort.nIn collaboration with Galerie d’art Iris, artists Stefan Horik, Albini Leblanc, Niko, Jean-François Racine, Louis Tremblay, Jimmy Perron, Marie-Catherine Péloquin and Josée Miller will look
to skiers and riders for their inspiration, and render onto canvas their unique interpretations as they chat about technique, and share their passion for their art. Works completed will later be
sold, and a canvas by Jimmy Perron valued at C$950 will be raffled off at day’s end among season pass and day lift ticket holders.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for the artists to remove themselves from their usual place of artistry and connect with the public,” mentions Stéphane Bouchard, proprietor of Galerie d’art Iris,
for whom the event is not only a chance to demystify visual art by making it more accessible, but also to experience first-hand the different processes artists undergo when they’re immersed
in a creative moment.

At 4 p.m., comedienne Isabelle Blais and her band Caïman Fu will light up the stage in the Summit Pub for another free Show-z-après-ski performance. Sweet folly, electrifying
madness and biting grooves are this Montreal band’s universe. Musically creative and lyrically interesting, the foursome promises to deliver a rock performance where guitars resonate at
the forefront and rhythm and bass maintain the beat.
