Austrian Police Investigating Hit-and-Run Ski Crash

Kirchberg, Austria – Police in Austria are trying to find an unidentified man who collided with and injured a five-year-old boy at Kirchberg and left the scene of the incident.nThe unidentified boy, from the Tyrol region, was in a ski school class when he was struck by an adult skier and suffered a broken jaw and an open wound on his forehead. He was rendered briefly unconscious and was taken to an area hospital by helicopter. The adult left the scene, a violation of Austrian law.

The instructor, who witnessed the incident, says that the adult skier himself crashed as a result of the collision but got up and skied away without checking on the boy.
