Breckenridge Announces New Signature Spring Festival

Breckenridge, CO – Breckenridge Ski Resort has announced the creation of a new month-long spring festival, “Spring Fever,” which will feature a brand new series of events taking place from April 1-24, both on the Colorado ski mountain and in town.nSpring Fever, presented by Cadillac, will take place at Breckenridge Ski Resort as the town and mountain welcome visitors to one of the best times of the year for skiing and riding.

“We’re very excited to have seen how fast Spring Fever has already started spreading among our town and guests,” said Kieran Cain, Director of Marketing for the resort. “Over the last year, we’ve conducted some in-depth surveys of our guests, who let us know that our previous spring event, Spring Massive, was not resonating with them. Spring Fever gives us the chance to revamp our entire spring events schedule in a way to give our guests exactly what they are telling us they want to see in spring: great skiing, music, food, and events for the entire family, in addition to the best snow conditions in the Rocky Mountain region.”

The idea behind the branding of Spring Fever is based on embracing the biological change that occurs in humans as the seasons switch from winter to spring. Breck Spring Fever will kick off the first weekend of April and will conclude on Easter Sunday, April 24, the final operating day of the ski resort this season.
April’s Spring Fever signature events will include live concerts every Saturday and Sunday afternoon at the Peak 8 base, EpicMixer singles events every Friday night at the T Bar, “5 ‘til 5” Terrain Park Happy Hour events every Thursday night off of the 5 Chair lift, extended gondola operating hours throughout April, and the Breck “1859 Restaurant Special” featuring special $18.59 menu pricing at town restaurants all month.

The Breck 5 Peaks competition, North America’s longest ski mountaineering race, will be held on on April 9, the same day as the KSMT Beer Festival at Main Street Station. The Imperial Challenge will follow on April 16.

Easter weekend will include the Spring Fever Fashion Show at the Riverwalk Center on Saturday, April 23, and Ripperoo’s Mascot Olympics throughout Easter weekend. A weekend-long Easter Egg Hunt will be held both both on mountain and throughout town.

More events are continuing to be added in town and on the mountain throughout April. For the full schedule of Spring Fever events, visit www.BreckSpringFever.com.
