Banff (AB), Canada – An unidentified 21-year-old man is being treated in a Calgary hospital today after losing control and striking a tree Wednesday while trying to avoid another skier.nThe incident happened on Sunshine Village ski area’s Ealge Creek run around 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The victim, who was wearing a helmet, was transported off the hill to a waiting ambulance by Sunshine Village ski patrol. He was later transferred by helicopter to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, where he is listed in critical condition.
