Mahwah, New Jersey – A seven-year-old boy was hurt Tuesday when he fell from a chairlift at Campgaw Mountain Ski Area in Mahwah.nThe victim reportedly lifted the safety bar and fell from his seat around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, officials indicate. He was airlifted to Hackensack University Medical Center where his injuries are not said to be life-threatening, although police acknowledge that the extent of his injuries was not immediately clear.

Ski area officials say that there was no indication that the chairlift malfunctioned in any way.
