Killington, VT – A dozen members of Killington Mountain School needed assistance on Sunday after they skied beyond the boundaries of Vermont’s Killington Resort.nThe group, comprised of 11 juveniles and an adult, were located near Wheelerville Road in Mendon about three and a half hours after they phoned for help. Authorities from the Vermont State Police, the Rutland County Sheriff’s department and Killington Resort using snowmobiles located the group Sunday afternoon utilizing their GPS coordinates. No injuries were reported.

Wheelerville Road is an area where many who venture beyond Killington’s ski area boundary are located. It runs directly west of the Killington Peak/Pico Peak ridgeline. The entirety of Killington Resort, on the other hand, lies east of this ridgeline.
