Rangeley, ME – Saddleback Maine is offering a $10 gasoline voucher with the purchase of a two day adult lift ticket. The voucher can be redeemed at local gas stations in the Rangeley Lakes Region through the end of the current Saddleback ski and snowboard season, which has been extended this year into May.n”We hope this will help Saddleback fans to continue skiing well into spring by lessening the burden of higher gas prices. By working in partnership with local businesses, we are able to continue our commitment to affordable skiing and riding,” says Greg Andrews, director of finance at Saddleback.
The vouchers may be redeemed at the Rangeley IGA, Lakeside Convenience, Looney Bin Irving and Koob’s Garage in Oquossoc.
Saddleback’s 4,120-foot mountain and surrounding peaks generate abundant natural snowfall all winter and the cooler temperatures at that high elevation sustain snow coverage well into spring. Total snowfall so far this season is 245 inches, well above average. The resort will be open daily through April 3, then Saturdays and Sundays as long as conditions hold. Officials are optimistic that will reach into May this year.
“We’ve always had snow on the trails in April,” says Jim Quimby, operations manager. “Because our loyal skier and rider base has grown in recent years, now is the time to take advantage of that snow by operating weekends into May.”
