California’s Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort to Extend Ski Season

Truckee, CA – In celebration of the resort’s biggest winter in 25 years, with more than 600 inches of snowfall for the season and more in the forecast, Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort in Truckee has announced it will extend its closing date and remain open for skiing and snowboarding through Easter Sunday, April 24.n“We’ve had record setting snowfall since the season started,” said Bill Rock, chief operating officer at Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort. “With these incredible snow conditions and more snow in the forecast, we’ve decided to extend the season to allow our guests more time to get out on the mountain and enjoy it.”

With base depths of more than 200 inches at the top of the mountain, and more than 10 feet at mid-mountain, spring skiing and riding conditions at Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort are the best they’ve been in years.

As the spring season gets underway, Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort will also host a variety of events including the resort’s annual Spring It On! festivities this Saturday that will feature a pond skim contest, 80’s dress up day, infinity box terrain park contest, live music and other activities.

Resort officials are inviting those looking to save on the slopes this spring to pick up a complimentary voucher at participating partner shops in the Bay Area, Sacramento and Reno and bring it to the resort to purchase a $61 all day lift ticket.
