Ski Area Holding Company Peak Resorts Going Public

Wildwood, MO – Peak Resorts, owners and operators of several ski areas in New England and in the Midwest, this week filed for a $40.3 million initial public offering of its common stock.nThe company plans to use the funds generated by the IPO to repay debt associated with its development of Mount Snow ski resort in Vermont and to build operating and development capital. Peak Resorts acquired Mount Snow in 2007 for $73.5 million. Its most recent acquisition is Wildcat Mountain ski area in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.

Peak Resorts’ IPO still requires approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

In addition to Mount Snow and Wildcat, Peak Resorts owns or operates Attitash and Crotched Mountain ski areas in New Hampshire, Boston Mills Brandy Wine and Mad River Mountain in Ohio, Jack Frost and Big Boulder in Pennsylvania, Paoli Peaks in Indiana, and Hidden Valley and Snow Creek, both in Missouri.
