Mt. Bachelor to Host Superpark 15

Bend, OR – Oregon’s Mt. Bachelor ski area has been awarded the host resort site for Superpark 15 by Snowboarder Magazine. This event will attract some of the world’s top snowboard athletes, photographers and videographers to Mt. Bachelor for two weeks in May to progress the sport of snowboarding.nSuperpark 15 will feature visiting terrain park staff from resorts across North America, from Mt. Bachelor’s own park staff to those from: Seven Springs, Penn.; High Cascades Snowboard Camp; and a team comprised of Powdr Resort staff from Boreal, Calif.; Killington, Vt.; Park City Mountain Resort, Utah; and Copper Mountain, Colo. These top terrain park
teams will build innovative terrain features for the athletes to inspire new tricks and styles to the sport of
snowboarding, all while being filmed and photographed by Snowboarder Magazine, Standard Films, ESPN,
Fuel TV, and other top-tier media outlets.

Superpark 15 is an invite-only, private on-mountain event. However, the week will conclude with “Pit Day”
on Saturday, May 14, where pro athletes will mingle with Mt. Bachelor guests in a fun and non-competitive
environment. Demo the latest in snowboard technology, get your favorite snowboarder’s autograph, or
snowboard with your favorite pro during ride-along sessions including Hana Beaman, Peter Line, and Jessica
Kimura.

The Superpark Pit Day will take place along with the Deschutes Brewery Concert Series featuring
MOsley WOtta playing live from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., in addition to the BrewSki beer fest and tasting from
noon to 3 p.m. All events take place on snow outside Mt. Bachelor’s West Village Lodge.
