Ellicottville, NY – Anyone who has enjoyed the excitement of skiing or snowboarding at Holiday Valley in western New York will now find summer at Holiday Valley Resort equally as thrilling. At 9 a.m. on Saturday Holiday Valley will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening of the recently completed Aerial Adventure Park.
The Mountain Coaster, scheduled to open in early July, is similar to a roller coaster with cars that ride on a track. One or two riders load a car adjacent to the Tannenbaum Lodge and ride up the hill parallel to the Spruce Lake lift. At the apex the car begins its descent, zigzagging and spiraling down through the woods. Riders can accelerate or decelerate using handles on the sides of the car.
The Aerial Adventure Park will be open to anyone ages seven and up on weekends only May 21st to June 12th. The park will be open daily June 18th to September 5th and will be open on weekends only September 10th to October 9th. Daily rates for a three hour session are $42 per person. Packages including the Mountain Coaster Rides will be available as well, as will group rates.
